Diederik Jekel – Winner mevrouw De Winterprijs 2012

Diederik Jekel graduated from Applied Physics at the University of Twente and has been involved in setting up Science on Tour in his student years. He works as a science journalist and writes for VPRO’s Noorderlicht among other things . He is also regularly seen at De Wereld Draait Door. In 2012 Diederik Jekel was nominated for the ‘Nerd of the Year’ award. He also presented the ‘Nationale Wetenschapsquiz-junior’ (the junior edition of the national science quiz). Furthermore, he was Master of Ceremonies during the Arago-symposium and has been actively involved with ICPS and information days at the UT. For his contribution in popularising science, Diederik received the Mevrouw De Winterprijs in 2012.
