Marloes Letterboer obtained her master’s degree in Applied Physics at the University of Twente. Almost ten years after her graduation she became the programme director of Applied Physics at the UT. In her years as programme director, she was active in many different academic bodies. Because of her, the Commissioner of Educational Affairs gained a spot in the curriculum committee when the new curriculum for the Twente Education Model (TOM had to be created. Besides this, she also regularly discussed with the SOTN in order to keep an eye on the opinion of the students about the quality of their education. When students found the need to give extra attention to education for whichever thinkable reason, Marloes was always there for everyone. Because she has involved Arago in educational affairs in many ways, she received the Mevrouw de Winterprijs in 2013.
