Ramon came, saw and became a very active Aragonaut. Firstly, he was commissioner of excursions in the board of 1996. Soon after that, he sat in the TROIKA study tour committee. Apart from that, he was an editor for both the KLAT and the Focus.
Most importantly, was his place in the BACO. As BACOning, he introduced the now famous BACO-beer glasses and the BACO-baco (adjustable wrench). He also put a lot of effort in the realization of the Tombe and he helped to renovate it later. Furthermore, his acts as Praeses at the annual Arago Cantus, (which he did twice!), are remembered fondly by the participants.
Ramon Veenstra, who is still in for blunt emails and joyful drinks, was declared Member of Merit in 2001.
